What is a DART holiday like?
All the boats are self-catering and have fully equipped galleys. DART volunteers provide all your meals while you’re on board. You’re welcome to join in with preparation, cooking and serving of meals. Help with clearing up afterwards is also appreciated.
We encourage you to get involved with all aspects of life on board and will provide practical help as required. We allow extra time for stops, to ensure everyone gets a chance to operate a lock, take part in a visit or disembark to take photos. It’s your holiday and we try to accommodate your requests.
Although canal boating is usually seen as a tranquil, slow-paced holiday, there are also lots of things to do. Take a look at our Activities page for a list of just some ways to join in. We will make every effort to incorporate other activities to suit the ages of people in your group. If you have a great idea for a party, celebration or visit, please suggest it prior to booking.
DART aims to make holidays for the disabled a pleasure. Find out more about our specially equipped boats.
By now, we’re sure you’re excited about holidays afloat with DART. If you’re ready to book, please check availability and find instructions for booking on our Book Today page.
