DISABLED AFLOAT RIVERBOATS TRUST |
River Ouse - 12.00 noon, Monday 28th Juneto 8.30 am, Friday 2nd July 2010This trip will be led by Peter Weighill. This trip aboard the The Yorkshire Waterways Museum's 'Sobriety' will travel from Goole to York and back. Because the River Ouse is tidal the timetable is dictated by the tides. As a result we may well travel along the Aire and Calder Canal before heading up river where we hope to spend a full day in York. York is full of attractions such as York Minister, the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. 'Sobriety' is a Humber Keel. The interior is spacious with wide bunks. The price is £250.00 per person which includes all meals. A deposit of £80 is required when booking. Transport to Goole. DART have always done what they can to help those people without transport to get to the starting point of the trip. This may be by asking people who live close to one another to share transport or by organising a mini-bus from the Cheltenham/Gloucester area. If we organise a mini-bus this will involve an additional charge for those who use it. For those that need it long term parking is available but it is some distance from the boat mooring. Click here to see a map showing the location of the base which is at postcode DN14 5TB. To book on this trip.
