DISABLED AFLOAT RIVERBOATS TRUST

This trip is based at the Lyneal Wharf on the Llangollen canal near the Welsh border in Shropshire. The facilities consist of two narrowboats, which can both accommodate standard size wheelchairs, two chalets, the original wharf cottage and a games room. 14 people can sleep in beds on land while a further 8 will sleep in bunks aboard 'Shropshire Lass'. DART will also be providing a mini-bus. The activities available will be a mixture of days out on the boats, trips to local towns and attractions using the mini-bus and just lazing about or playing games at Lyneal. Local attractions include Chirk Castle, the small town of Ellesmere and Colemere country park. Day trips can be made on the canal to Frankton Junction and Whixall Moss.

The price is £340.00 per person which includes all meals. A deposit of £110.00 is required when booking.

Transport to Lyneal Wharf. DART have always done what they can to help those people without transport to get to the starting point of the trip. This may be by asking people who live close to one another to share transport or by organising a mini-bus from the Cheltenham/Gloucester area. If we organise a mini-bus this will involve an additional charge for those who use it. Long term parking is available free of charge at the base.
