DISABLED AFLOAT RIVERBOATS TRUST

Kennet and Avon, Saturday 31st May to Saturday 14th June 2008

This trip will be led by Herbie Renfield (31st May to 7th June) and Paul Treble (7th June to 14th June) with catering by Jenni Philpott, Peter Gates (31st May to 7th June) and Maddy Greenland and Jean May (7th June to 14th June).

This trip is on the Kennet and Avon aboard the Bruce Trust boats Hannah and Diana. Details of the boats and their layouts can be found on the Bruce Trust web site. The trip starts and finishes at Great Bedwyn in Wiltshire which is a small village a few miles from Marlborough and Hungerford with pick up and finishing points at Devizes and Bathampton in Somerset. Passengers have a choice of start and finish points and dates as shown in the table below. Please note that the deposit is payable on booking.

Transport to Great Bedwyn. DART have always done what they can to help those people without transport to get to and from Great Bedwyn where long term parking is available free of charge at the Bruce Trust base. Click here to see a map showing the location of the base. This may be done by asking people who live close to one another to share transport or by organising a mini-bus from the Cheltenham/Gloucester area. If we organise a mini-bus this will involve an additional charge for those who use it.

Transport between Great Bedwyn and Devizes or Bathampton. We will organise this as required for those starting or finishing at those points. The cost is included in the price of the trip.
